Register now for this opportunity to tour the one mile long under roof F-35/F-16 aircraft assembly plant in west Fort Worth!  Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the premier fighter aircraft designer and  for the US Marines, Navy, and Air Force building three versions of the F-35, one for each branch of the service.

The Fort Worth plant, which is Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO), occupies 605 acres and includes 8 million square feet of industrial floor space. Several companies have managed the plant over 70 years of operation, beginning with Consolidated Aircraft, which later became Convair. General Dynamics acquired Convair in 1953, and Lockheed took over in 1993. Then in 1995, Lockheed merged with Martin Marietta and in 2000 became Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company.

Requirements for tour attendance and entrance to the plant.

  • All visitors over 18 must be US citizen
  • All visitors must bring valid picture ID
  • All attendees must sign up at least 36 hours before the tour
